The Wayland men's cross country team is ranked 15th in the NAIA Preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll released Wednesday afternoon.
The Pioneers return four runners from last year's squad including All-Sooner Athletic Conference honorees Kirby Dunn, who just missed qualifing for the 2008 National Championship meet, and Michael Sandoval, as well as 2007 national qualifier Timmy McCune.
The top newcomer for the Wayland men in 2009 is freshman Hildon Boen of Kenya. The Pioneers begin the new season on Saturday, Sept. 4.
