The #14 Pioneer baseball team opens Sooner Athletic Conference play this weekend with a three-game series at home against Northwestern Oklahoma State University. WBU is 10-4 on the season, while the Rangers are 9-2. The Pioneers swept the three-game series last year in extremely windy conditions in Alva. Senior Todd Weldon, who leads the NAIA in wins with four, will take to the mound first for WBU.

Barring more technical problems, Friday's doubleheader can be seen LIVE on the internet beginning with the first pitch at 2 p.m. In addition, for those staying around for both games on Friday, Tom Hall will be on the air for the play-by-play of the nightcap. As usual, Live Stats will  be available for all three contests.
