Wayland wrestling coach Johnny Cobb has added six more athletes to his stable of wrestlers for the Pioneer's inaugural season which begins in about six months. Among the group are two All-Americans and two All-State honorees.

Jimmy Peterson is a two-time Texas state champion and a 2007 All-American from San Antonio's Madison High School.  Peterson went undefeated in both his junior and senior seasonsin the 135-pound class.

Jessica Hernandez of Eisenhower High School in Lawton, Okla. is a high shcool All-American in the 135-pound class, and has won state championships in four different states at the club level. 

Jose "Chino" Alvarez is a two-time Texas state finalist in the 171-pound class from Hereford High School, while Chris Hart of Katy's Taylor High School was the state runner-up in the 152-pound division.

Rounding out the latest group of signees are Manuel Rocha, a 2008 state qualfier and teammate of Peterson at Madison High of San Antonio, and Randall High School's Skylar Mosley.  Rocha wrestled in the 171-pound class, while Mosley was a 2009 state qualifer at 145-pounds.
