
The 2011 Sooner Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament got underway with four games of pool play on Wednesday. Wayland Baptist and Lubbock Christian University are acting as tourney co-hosts.
Second-seeded Oklahoma Baptist will take on fourth-seed Rogers State in the SAC Championship game on Saturday at 1 pm at Hays Field in Lubbock.

For the first time in tournament history, teams are playing round-robin style in their respective pools. Game times are set at 2 and 6 pm Wednesday through Friday. The pool champions will meet in the title game on Saturday, May 7 at 1 pm in Lubbock.
Top-seeded Oklahoma City heads the teams in Pool A. The Stars are joined by fourth-seeded Rogers State, #5-seed Oklahoma Christian and #8-seed USAO.
The Pioneers are the sixth-seed in Pool B. Their competition in pool play will include second-seeded Oklahoma Baptist, #3-seed Lubbock Christian and #7-seed Mid-America Christian.
Admission to all games played at Wilder Field is $5 for adults and $3 for students.
