The Wayland Baptist men's cross country team has been ranked 12th in the NAIA Men's Cross Country Preseason Coaches poll which was released by the national office on Wednesday afternoon.

Vancouver, Wash.---Three individuals represented Wayland at the NAIA National Cross Country Championships on Saturday.  In addition, two other members of the Pioneer cross country teams were named as 2009 Daktronics/NAIA Scholar Athletes. 

Three student-athletes representing Wayland Baptist University will be competing at the 2009 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Men's and Women's Cross Country National Championships on Saturday, Nov. 21 in Vancouver, Wash.

Lubbock, Tex.---Three members of the Wayland Baptist cross country teams earned the right to advance to the NAIA Cross Country Championships with top performances at the 2009 Sooner Athletic Conference Championships held Friday morning at Chaparral Ridge Golf Course on the campus of Lubbock Christian University. Senior Timmy McCune and freshmen Catherine Leubner and Milca Villegas will compete in Vancouver, Wash. on Nov. 21.

The 2009 Sooner Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships will be held on Friday morning at Chaparral Ridge Golf Course on the campus of Lubbock Christian University. The men's race is scheduled to begin at 9:30 with the women following at 10:15.
