EDMOND, Okla. --- The Wayland Baptist men used a 16-4 run in the latter stages of the first half to propel themselves to a 78-58 upset win over Oklahoma Christian.  It was the second straight Sooner Athletic Conference victory over an opponent that is among those getting votes in the latest NAIA Coaches Poll.

The Wayland Baptist men upset Science and Arts of Oklahoma 72-67 on Saturday afternoon at Hutcherson Center.  Senior Bobby Watkins posted a double-double in his first start of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds.  Jamie Eisinger, also a senior, led the Pioneers with 15 points.

Southern Nazarene's Horace McGloster scored all of his team-high 14 points in the second half to lead the #14 Crimson Storm to a 75-62 win over Wayland Baptist on Thursday evening at Hutcherson Center.

The Wayland Baptist Pioneers gave fifth-ranked Rogers State all they could handle for the first 30 minutes of Saturday afternoon's Sooner Athletic Conference basketball game.  Unfortunately for the majority of the fans at Hutcherson Center, the final ten minutes was all Hillcats, and the visitors came out on top 98-79.

John Brown University scored the final ten points of the overtime period to pull out a 70-65 win over Wayland Baptist on Thursday evening at Hutcherson Center.
