AMARILLO, Texas --- Two Wayland Baptist golfers finished among the top ten individuals, and the Pioneers as a team placed fifth at the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational held at Tascosa Country Club.   The WBU men had a three-round total of 885 after shooting rounds of 293, 295 and 297.

Abilene Christian took top team honors with an 859 (295-275-289).  Host West Texas A&M was second at 877, and Cameron University finished one stroke back at 878.

LUBBOCK, Texas --- The Wayland Baptist men's golf team combined to shoot a 287 and 293 in the first two rounds of the 2011 Chaps Fall Invitational.  The 580 score put the Pioneers in first place, five strokes in front of Odessa College and Western Texas College.

LA VETA, Col. --- The Wayland Baptist Pioneer golf team hung on to take first place honors at the Peak's Classic held Monday and Tuesday at Grandote Peaks Golf Club. The WBU men shot a final round 291 and finished with a three-round total of 871, 11 strokes fewer than runner-up Colorado State-Pueblo.
